WWE Surivor Series 2021 Start Time, Match Card, Live Stream

WWE is looking to put its best foot forward with new pay-per-view Day 1.

The company is putting on its first ever special event on New Year’s Day and it looks stacked on paper with five championship bouts, an epic grudge match and an intriguing clash making up the main card.

While the pandemic has caused some uncertainty over the show – Seth Rollins tested positive for Covid over Christmas while the likes of Big E, Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch were pulled off the road – no changes have been announced, and it looks to be going ahead as planned.

When it comes to pay-per-view events, WWE usually delivers, with last month’s Survivor Series being book-ended by fantastic matches despite some fans waiting all evening for a Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson comeback that never materialised.

There have been reports of people behind the scenes pushing for a fresh look for Day 1, and while it’s said these have been rejected we can still hold out hope for the company making a statement with tonight’s event.

As ever, we’ve put together our regular guide with the full match card, streaming details and more.

Here’s everything you need to know about the show…

When is WWE Day 1 2021?

WWE presents Day 1 tonight (January 1) with all the action on the main card kicking off at 1am for fans in the UK.

How can you watch WWE Day 1 2021?

Of course, there will be a Kickoff show available on the WWE Network, WWE.com, the WWE app, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Twitch at midnight.

For fans in the UK, you can tune into the main Survivor Series show by either streaming live or watching on demand via the WWE Network – or order the event via BT Sport Box Office.

WWE Day 1 full match card

  • Universal Title: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

  • WWE Title: Big E (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley

  • Raw Women’s Title: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan

  • Edge vs. The Miz
  • SmackDown Tag Team Titles: The Usos (c) vs. The New Day

  • Raw Tag Team Titles: RK-Bro (c) vs. The Street Profits

  • Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
  • Kickoff: Cesaro and Ricochet vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland

What can you expect from WWE Day 1? Liv Morgan chases gold as the Paul Heyman factor hangs over Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

On paper, WWE has put together a strong card befitting for this first time ever event, which is no surprise given reports that Day 1 is very much president Nick Khan’s baby.

Every match has the potential to deliver on some level, and there’s scope for plenty of twists and turns if the company decides to make waves on January 1.

Roman Reigns will likely retain the Universal Title against Brock Lesnar, but the duo should put on another fascinating bout with Paul Heyman sure to make an impression, which adds another intriguing layer to a brilliantly-built story.

Over on Raw, it feels like Big E deserves longer with the WWE Championship, and we’d like to see him retain with Kevin Owens going onto win the Royal Rumble later this month before dethroning the champ at WrestleMania.

It feels like it’s been Liv Morgan’s moment plenty of times in recent memory, but seeing her beat Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title would be a great start to 2022 – but perhaps WWE is waiting to give her a Rumble victory of her own.

Edge and The Miz are both veterans of the game who can really tell a story between the ropes, and the smart move here would be for Maryse to help her man cheat his way to victory.

And Just Like That's Cynthia Nixon finally responds to backlash over Steve Brady treatment

From there, Beth Phoenix can step up to help her own husband, building to what would be a brilliant mixed tag match at ‘Mania in Dallas.

The Usos should retain their titles, while The Street Profits winning the gold could lead to RK-Bro imploding to build to the long-awaited grudge match between Randy Orton and Riddle on the grandest stage.

Elsewhere, Madcap Moss and Drew McIntyre could put on a decent big lad match given the time, and the four stars on the Kickoff show will make a statement with even 10 minutes of ring-time before the main broadcast.
